Whilst it’s good not to worry about death because it is something that comes to us all, we are mindful that sometimes we become ill and lose the capacity to make decisions for our lives whilst still young with a very long time to live and worse still, we may die suddenly.
In order to ensure that we do not suffer if we lose the capacity to make decisions and that our hard-earned money and assets are properly looked after in the event of our incapacity or death, we encourage our clients to consider making Wills and granting powers of attorney to trusted friends and family whilst still able to do so.
Accordingly, we are committed to providing credible valuable advice and support to our clients in this area. This helps them with planning and managing their affairs while alive, healthy or incapable due to mental or physical incapacity.
We are also aware of the problems providing for our relatives and friends can cause if there is no Will detailing who is entitled to what or where our assets and investments are. We take pride in advising and supporting our clients all the way and assisting their loved ones in settling their estates if they die leaving a Will or not.
While alive, we own our time and assets and have the right to say what happens to them when we die or become unwell and indeed maintain a satisfactory level or our usual life styles if we lose the capacity to make decisions. It can be quite daunting leaving others who do not know us to decide for us. This might sometimes lead to us living a life we did not plan for or compromising our dignity. We believe that maintaining reasonable standards of life appropriate to the lifestyles we are accustomed to until we die is crucial and therefore do our best to support people needing advice and support in making such decisions.
We have experienced in-house Wills and Probate Solicitor who will support our clients and their families in managing their affairs from the writing of their wills up to the settlement of their estates if they die.
Where our clients do not have families and friends to manage their affairs, we can act as their Attorneys and or Executors and also recommend organisations who can act in the same capacities where there will be a conflict of interest or the clients prefer.
Probate can be quite a long process but we always do our very best to minimise the delays.
